This is my perception of greed, and how it poisons America. They use wealth to chase greater power, and they have no interest in helping the ones around us. They call us the “land of the free”, but they limit our ‘freedom’ with ‘fear’. They control us with our need for money, and do everything in their power to keep us wanting or needing more. How free are we in America? With money at the forefront of virtually every aspect of our lives, I’d say not very. -GB
lyrics
With the air that fills my lungs / and reeks of war and hate / people fight until there’s nothing left / until there’s no one else to blame / when I look outside my door / the middle-class becomes the poor / as million dollar mother fucks / demand that they make more /
WITH NO END / NO END / MONEY WON’T SATISFY YOUR SOUL / SO GO AHEAD / AND PRETEND / CAUSE MONEY WON’T SATISFY YOUR SOUL /
Another opportunity / to rob us blind / the land of freedom / yet so little stand / and fight for what is right / but you’re sure doing alright / as long as you monopolize / as thousands of our families / are left to rot and die /
WITH NO END / NO END / MONEY WON’T SATISFY YOUR SOUL / SO GO AHEAD / AND PRETEND / CAUSE MONEY WON’T SATISFY YOUR SOUL /
Land of the free / It’s home to you / and to me / land of the free /
but how free are we?
